Personal vs business accounts
Personal and business accounts are entirely separate accounts. Different sign-in screens, different menus, and balances are not shared.
Which one do you need
| Personal | Business / merchant | |
|---|---|---|
| Mainly for | Paying | Getting paid |
| What you can do | Buy SGP Points, pay by card, buy on the marketplace | Collect payments by link, track sales and settlement, manage employee accounts, integrate by API |
| Sign-in | The normal sign-in screen | A separate business sign-in screen |
| Verification | Identity verification (KYC) | Business verification (KYB) |
The simple rule: buying is personal, collecting money is business.
They are separate accounts
Nothing is shared between the two
The sign-in screens are different. Personal credentials will not work on the business screens, and vice versa.
Balances, transaction history and support tickets are all separate. A business question raised from a personal account will not reach the business team.
Using both is perfectly fine. Register two separate accounts and sign in to each one. We recommend using different email addresses, otherwise it becomes hard to tell which account a notification refers to.

Still unsure?
| What you want to do | Account type |
|---|---|
| Get paid for goods or services | Business |
| Integrate with your own systems | Business |
| Distribute expenses to staff | Business |
| Issue a card for your own use | Personal |
| Buy on the marketplace | Personal |
| Both receive and pay | Both, registered separately |
If you are unsure, open a support ticket describing specifically what you want to do. The account type cannot be changed after registration, so it is worth asking first.
