Posting a request and receiving offers

Requests are posted from Dashboard → Requests → New. Unlike a listing, the price does not have to be settled in advance; you can start from a conversation.

Writing a request that gets offers

Length matters less than whether there is enough for someone to judge the job. Include these four things.

What to state Example
What you need made A company brochure as a PDF, 8 pages at A4
What already exists Copy is finished in Word. Ten photographs available
By when Delivered by the end of March
Budget range 50,000–80,000 JPY

Requests without a budget attract almost no offers. A range is fine. If you genuinely have no idea what the work should cost, say so, and give whatever helps someone judge it — the volume of work and the timescale.

Comparing the offers you receive

Do not choose on price alone. Comparing these three saves trouble later.

  1. 01Did they read the request?Someone sending boilerplate without addressing your conditions will communicate the same way once the work starts.
  2. 02Do they say what is excluded?People who set the boundary up front are the ones who do not argue about extras.
  3. 03Is the lead time reasoned?"Five working days from sign-off on the copy" is worth more than "right away".

Accepting an offer

Accepting one starts a contract with that person. All other offers close automatically. Acceptance cannot be undone, so clear up anything unclear by message before you choose.

After accepting, the client deposits the payment. There are two ways to do it.

Method How it works
From your wallet Deducted from your balance. Top up first if the balance is short
PayPal You are taken to PayPal and returned here after paying

Work does not begin until the deposit is made. From the provider's side too, the correct sequence is to start only once the deposit shows as confirmed.

Declining and withdrawing

  • Declining an offer: any offer you have not accepted can be declined at any time. The other person is notified.
  • Withdrawing a request: possible as long as you have not accepted an offer. All offers received are closed.
  • Stopping after accepting: a contract has already started, so agree it with the other person by message first. If you cannot agree, follow the cancellation and dispute steps in Escrow and how a job progresses.

If no offers arrive

  • No budget is stated
  • The request is two or three lines, with nothing to judge from
  • The budget is far from what the work normally costs

All three can be fixed by editing. Add the missing detail and repost, and a different set of people will see it.
